JLPT Courses
are recognised by the Japanese government and
follow a specified syllabus as prescribed by them.
The first and simplest of these'courses is the
JLPT Level IV which includes basic elements of
grammar, a vocabulary of 1000 words and 100 Kanji
characters. After completion of this course and
successfully passing the examination, a student
can take up the JLPT Level III course which includes
more advanced grammar, 1500 word vocabulary and
300 Kanji. Students will be able to comprehend
and participate in day-today conversation
and write simple sentences in Japanese script.
The JLPT Level II course is still more advanced
and includes 6000 word vocabulary and 1000 Kanji
characters.
Students who successfully complete
this course will have the ability to read, write
and converse Japanese with relative ease, and
even work in a Japanese business environment without
difficulty. The last and most advanced of the
JLPT courses is the Level I course. Consisting
of 2000 Kanji and 10,000 word vocabulary, this
course assures the student a command over the
language sufficient for all business dealings
and language levels that even permit education
at a Japanese University. The JLPT Level I course
can only be undertaken after completion of the
Level Iv, III and II exams.
